Tin Nicho Shrine- "Love Springs Eternal"

Nicho-sunburst-I carry you with me - SOLD!- Altered tin nicho, about 3 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide, into a shrine or altar as homage to mothers everywhere. Inside it's glass, operational door, is an image of a Madonna and child from a vintage prayer card, and an inscription with "I carry you with me". There are crystals and beads attached by wire, as well as a luminous star hanging from the bottom. The latch is wrapped with silk ribbon to soften the rusty/verdigris-patina finish. The back has a loop for hanging or may also be placed on table top. Back is signed by artist, Janie Mills.

journal-promise Journal or scrapbook - "Promise" One of A Kind. I designed this album (7" x 10" with 15 heavy, unlined pages)with a formal but, yet vintage appeal. Attached to the front of this album are velvet posies taken from a vintage wedding hat and tied with silk ribbons and pearls. A 3" x 3" window was designed with an image of a bride and groom that can be easily removed to place another happy couple. The inside of the album was made especially to show a sentimental poem. Then, a 2" x 4" gift tag is included that matchs- with the word "Promise". A sprinkling of diamond dust was scattered over the entirety for a bit of magic and luck. "Perfect Coming and Going" I designed this wire dress form as a homage to women who feel they must look perfect, but, may all the while, feel something totally different underneath. "Perfect" is wearing a paper gown adorned with gold crowns and French script. Gold-flecked, wedding tulle is cinched tightly at the waist with a crystal and pearl vintage earring. The back features a dainty vintage posie, silk ribbon, and white feathered wings. Underneath is an altogether different scene. There, you discover a page of an old medical illustration of Aphrodite's body depicting her "regions of insanity". i.e.region of crime & selfishness, energy, combativeness, love of power, spirituality, energy, seat of the soul,etc. A very unique statement! 15" tall Click dress to see back and underside photos.
